Truthfully, the conflicts portrayed are fairly standard family disputes, though the film tends to exaggerate them for dramatic effect. Michael Keaton's performance is a saving grace—the moment he mixes up his daughters' names is truly relatable.

A man so consumed by work that he doesn't notice his family falling apart is hardly a novel premise. What sets this one apart is the protagonist's age—well into his senior years—which adds a layer of poignancy to his belated self-awareness. While the resolution feels a bit too neat, I appreciated the bittersweet tone: both father and daughter might reconcile, but the emotional distance between them remains.
