Bradley_Dudley26 de junio de 2025The film loses steam in the second half, relying on violence to paper over narrative gaps. It borrows heavily from "Pulp Fiction" and "John Wick" without capturing their wit or style. The ambiguous ending hints of a sequel, though not all viewers will be eager for one.

StevenCsMovies19 de mayo de 2025I believe I first saw Josh Hartnett in LUCKY NUMBER SLEVEN, which I remember loving. He has recently been having a very enjoyable comeback, from smaller roles like in OPPENHEIMER to now being the lead actor in TRAP. Now he’s a leading man again with the newly released action flick FIGHT OR FLIGHT. The one thing I can say about him is it looks like he’s having the time of his life. This movie is as simple as you can get. Lucas (Josh Hartnett) is a mercenary laying low in Bangkok. He is tasked by Katherine (Katee Sackhoff) to find and bring in a high value asset, without knowing who they are or what they look like. It just so happens that he ends up on a plane that’s filled with bounty hunters looking for a hefty payday. This movie is very entertaining and high-octane fun. Hartnett has another role he can have fun with, working with first time director James Madigan, who has previously been into visual effects. There is some “shaky cam”, but I still saw what was happening. The pacing is great, except when we’re not on the plane. There’s a subplot that wastes time trying to explain the plot. helps deepen the story, but it ruins the momentum. Sackhoff’s character doesn’t have much to do except explain the mediocre plot to the audience. Some moments are very violent but fun. The characters are very exaggerated, which made for some unconventional combat scenarios. As a high functioning alcoholic, Lucas slowly becomes more annoyed that he’s getting sober as the movie goes on, which must’ve been a fun performance. The narrative wavers near the end, the end itself being questionable. The plane simultaneously feels huge and claustrophobic, which is an interesting sensation. The other passengers are hilariously calm throughout the chaotic violent mayhem and murder. Despite FIGHT OR FLIGHT being a low-budget version of BULLET TRAIN, of which I enjoyed a little more (BULLET PLANE, if I may), it’s aware of what it is, and I still had myself a bloody fun time.
