Hunter_Webster25 de agosto de 2025One of Mel Brooks’ early and defining works, this film satirizes the familiar tropes of American Westerns with absurdist flair. Its most memorable twist comes when the characters burst through their own film set into a neighboring musical production, creating a gleeful and anarchic finale that elevates the entire experience.

Bonnie_Dunlap22 de agosto de 2025The first half feels painfully dull—much of the humor only works within its original social context, and today it comes off as dated and juvenile. Thankfully, the final ten minutes redeem the film, cleverly tying earlier moments together. By breaking the fourth wall and poking fun at the artificiality of Westerns and assembly-line filmmaking, the ending lands with unexpected brilliance.
