DragonHeart: Corazón de Dragón (1996)★ 6.4/10

For a 1996 film, the visual effects are commendable, and the tone remains lighthearted. The bard character is a highlight, and the pastoral scenery—wheat fields, forested hills, and streams—adds a layer of beauty. There’s also a timeless charm in watching a black-cloaked dragonslayer gallop through such landscapes with a bow in hand.

A textbook low-budget production, "DragonHeart" suffers from cheap sets and uninspired staging. Though it borrows the look of a fantasy epic—with dragons, battles, and royal intrigue—it plays more like a second-rate sword-and-sorcery flick. The fight scenes are especially dull and repetitive.
