Jules y Jim (1962)★ 7.8/10

En esta película, la historia se cuenta claramente y va directo al punto, con vídeos cortos que introducen a los personajes y hacen que la trama avance. Pero luego, se ralentiza al mostrar los sentimientos de los tres personajes principales y la forma en la que cambian sus emociones. François Truffaut no usa muchos trucos lujosos típicos de las películas, él mantiene un enfoque directo y simple. Es una verdadera película de la nueva ola francesa que presenta algo realmente único.

There are some films that leave you as soon as you watch them (they do not leave a trace). Others cling to you like the perfume of a lover that seeps into your clothes and will not escape your senses despite the passing of time...and perhaps the eventual indifference that can develop between lovers. I have had that scent of cinematic joy cling to me only a few times. With the first two films created by Francois Truffaut, I saw the development of a talent coming to terms with his own difficult youth and life on the outside of society. I saw that he could make me laugh and cry, often within the space of a single frame. And then there was the incredible quantum leap made with a film about a German friend who, with his French friend, enters into a relationship with a free spirit that neither man can claim...
Jules and Jim is a film for adults who cannot bear to leave behind what their youth gave them. It is also the only film I have given a perfect rating to on the Peliplat page. Maybe I will regret this special place in my list of reviews. Maybe you have not seen the film, or will see it, or have seen it and cannot feel the same way about this film.

A história desse filme é contada de maneira muito clara e direta, com clipes rápidos para apresentar os personagens e manter o enredo avançando. Mas, em seguida, ele se torna um pouco mais lento quando se trata de mostrar como os três personagens principais se sentem e como suas emoções mudam. François Truffaut não usa muitos truques sofisticados que vemos na maioria dos filmes, mantendo-os simples e diretos. É um verdadeiro filme da Nova Onda francesa que oferece algo realmente único.

The story in this movie is told really clearly and straight to the point, with quick clips to introduce the characters and keep the plot moving. But then, it slows down a bit when it comes to showing how the three main characters feel and how their emotions change. François Truffaut doesn't use many fancy tricks you see in most movies, keeping it simple and direct. It's a true French New Wave movie that gives you something really unique.
