El experimento (2001)★ 7.8/10

Told with a stripped-down style and clean visuals, "The Experiment" draws viewers into its disturbing progression with quiet intensity. It opens with ordinary men who are assigned random roles in a psychological study, only to watch them transform as power takes hold. The film poses a chilling question: how many of us could resist the temptation of unchecked desires?

The film delivers a sobering reminder of how easily power can distort human behavior. Without proper oversight, authority breeds cruelty. Whether human nature is inherently good or shaped by environment remains open to debate. Unfortunately, the female lead feels entirely underwritten, with little narrative purpose.
