I have been told again and again that 1999 was a great year for films - The Matrix, Being John Malkovich, Fight Club - and as a GenXer just entering the workplace - well, the professional workplace - this film was a revelation. It failed at the box office, but recovered itself on DVD and online, just like many other masterpieces - The Shawshank Redemption, anyone? - and it deserves its cult status and praise. And you know a film is great when Jennifer Aniston is in it and hers is not the performance that sticks with you.
