Anime After DarkAugust 9, 2025Perfect Blue or Black Swan?
These two movies have been compared to death, but I still find the dichotomy interesting. I love Black Swan, but as a Satoshi Kon fanatic, I’d have to go with Perfect Blue, even though I saw Black Swan first. It’s one…

calxt5521August 8, 2025The greatest swindlers that exist.
Reality lies through its exuberance, through its succulence—always overflowing. By virtue of its inexorable infinitude, it dissolves one mystery only to place a greater one in its stead; thus, it always deceives us. Art…

0Estrella CinefilaAugust 7, 2025Love and hate (There is no way out)

CathyAsianAugust 6, 2025Anyone feel like the romance subplot in F1 was awkward n unnecessary?
That’s how I felt watching it. I left a comment for an article and someone replied that the director planned to develop it more in a sequel if the film did well - which just sounds like an excuse to me. Awkward is…
8Gwen PemAugust 6, 2025What are your favourite and least favourite directors cuts?
I love a good directors cut, but sometimes I hate them too. Prime example is the Apocalypse Now Redux. I watched it before seeing the theatrical and absolutely hated it, and I was so disappointed after all the hype…

I'm personally a big fan of the early 2000's wave of horror video games that got adapted into films like “Silent Hill”, “Doom” and “Resident Evil”. These films particularly did a great job at re-creating the games…

IshikaJuly 31, 2025Anyone super excited for Zootopia 2? (but also scared)
The trailer for Zootopia 2 was released, and I'm a huge fan of the first one. It was honestly one of Disney's best original movies, tackling themes of racism and the drug epidemic, and Jason Bateman is way too…
7SUNSJuly 30, 2025Best use of water motif in movies.
I've read and seen a lot of random things, and for some reason a good shot of water to symbolize rebirth/renewal/hope has always spoke to me. The best representation is in the novel Waterland by Graham Swift or Sexing…
