The DCOctober 17, 2025Best single location movies?
They can be great, they can be terrible, but at least they're clever. A few months ago I wrote about El Ángel Exterminador, where a bunch of rich people are trapped in a mansion with no explanation. Great movie. On the…

Did you hate it? Did it not live up to the hype? Was it just laughably terrible?
2The DCOctober 16, 2025A trip inspired by a movie?

0Gwen PemOctober 15, 2025What's a "kids movie" that you still love?
I was watching Megamind with some friends over the weekend, and it's unironically great. Not to mention a fantastic come down after so many dramas at VIFF this year.
4Nate EOctober 15, 2025What's a movie you love that no one else seems to know about?
For me, it'd have to be 2019's Brightburn. Terrifying concept and fantastic execution of what we would hope Superman isn't. Yet no one I ask has seen it, or even heard of it!
5The DCOctober 15, 2025What zombie apocalypse would you like to live through?
When I was like 13, I used to spend way too much time thinking about zombies and how I'd survive a zombie apocalypse. These days, I have to warm up before a light jog, so I know I'd die in the first 15 minutes. Anyways…
