Creative Writing Time: Write a mini-scene

Pick a song, use that to write a scene/dialogue.

I'll go first:

Song: Chorale (Five) Iskra String Quartet, Iskra Strings, Peter Gregson

Scene/Dialogue:

The door swings wide open. Jaida's heart leaps to her throat. The wind sprays in as foamy white tides and billowing silk curtains; Jaida stands on shaky legs. Her toes edge the spillage of sunlight which had seeped in from the entrance, which had formed a thick golden puddle just by the legs of the table, and there is no thought in her head.

Then, there was is shadow, which drips from his body and splays over Jaida as if it couldn't help itself. As if it had been waiting all of its life to simply drape its warmth over her, all of this time.

“You're back,” she whispered.

Her words trip over themselves. The space between them expands and hovers. If there was a way to break the moment, to exhale, Jaida would but the moment swells in place. She wraps her arms around herself, unsure of what to do. The words float slowly.

He takes them, one letter at a time.

“I'm back.”

The curtains shudder with the gentle click of the door. Time returns to her, steadfast and warm. It stays.
