Air Bud Returns?

I'm just now finding out that they are remaking Air Bud? I know there are like 20 sequels, but this one is supposed to be straight up the same story. A kid finds a Golden Retriever and brings him home, trying to fill the void left by his dead father. Then he discovers the dog's talent for basketball. but PLOT TWIST: He uses his dad's old VHS copy of AIR BUD as inspiration???

I have to know other people's thoughts on this. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

I agree with you. As much as they’re trying to bring something new and fresh, the original Air Bud of 1997 is more special and has that sense of nostalgia (for me, at least).

I'm so... confused. Why mess with the original?
