Akashi World Premiere!

Packed house for the Akashi premiere at VIFF! So exciting to see the love for Canadian film!

Getting to see the love in the room for this home-grown world premiere was very moving, as was the film itself. Highly recommend giving this a watch, it will be playing again on Thursday at the Granville Island Stage. There was laughter, there were tears, there was whimsy, and the black and white cinematography was gorgeous.

Was outside when this movie got out. Crowd was full of smiles. Even saw some kimonos. Seemed like it was a really cool and personal experience. Vancouver cinema forever.
