Will I be able to change destiny? Into Final Destination 3
Fan FictionFrom one moment to the next it happened, I opened my eyes and found myself in an amusement park with the characters from Final Destination 3 without knowing how I got there. Was it a supernatural experience? Was I playing an advanced virtual reality game where you forget you're playing? Did aliens kidnap me and put me inside this movie? There wasn't much time to think anyway, because before I knew it, I was already getting off the roller coaster because of Wendy's screams and watching the accident happen.
Certainly seeing the deaths in person was not at all fun like seeing it through the screen, this whole experience felt like real life which made it very shocking and disturbing. I quickly discovered, as I watched the ambulances and police cars arrive, that this world was taking place in real time, fortunately, because jumping from scene to scene would have been chaotic. When I arrived home with my fictional parents, I began to consider my next move. I came to the conclusion that the most ethical thing to do would be to try to save these people using the information I had, and of course, save myself. I had no idea what would happen if I died there or when my turn on the death row was supposed to be.
Knowing that the only way to save them is to have them kill someone or die, I set out to plan how to die for a few moments, inspired by Schumacher's "Flatliners". With a few weeks to go until Ashley and Ashlyn were due to go tanning, I began gathering the necessary items to pull off something like this, asking the coroner played by Tony Todd for help. I finally managed to get the necessary elements, now the most important part remains: convincing the characters to do something like this without anyone dying first.

When the day of the tanning session arrived, I asked the girls if they could give me a ride to the center (to follow them), which they very kindly agreed to. On the way we saw Frankie's car parked, the one in which he died while driving in line at a fast food restaurant. Taking advantage of Ashley and Ashlyn's hatred for him, I asked them to play a prank on him, and we sabotaged his car. It was likely that by saving my friends, Death's list would skip them and go after him, so perhaps this action would help delay his death.
Later, we stopped to refuel, where they asked me if I could go into the local store to buy something to drink, which would save my life. Unbeknownst to me at the time, a neighbor of the gas station was having a barbecue, and the sparks from the fire ignited some dry leaves, which were carried by the wind and the movement of traffic, flying and landing right on the car's fuel nozzle. The car explosion killed both of them instantly and left me injured and hospitalized for a few days.
I suppose the short stop for the "joke" altered the facts by changing his death, but without ceasing to have a relationship with the photographs taken at the amusement park. From now on I'll have to be more aware that things could turn out differently than they're supposed to.

I was released from the hospital in time for the funeral, which I attended and took the opportunity to finally speak to Wendy and Kevin, who had now fully believed all of this and had figured out that the photos were clues to the deaths. I also approached Frankie, who was supposed to be next (Wendy confirmed that I was one of the last), who surprisingly believed this quickly and joined us.
The next day we agreed to go talk to Lewis at his gym, which, while I thought would probably be a waste of time, might actually work out now that there were more of us. Unfortunately, something completely unusual happened along the way. While we were stopped at a traffic light, a drone flew through the car window, severing Frankie's jugular vein. Actually dying because one of the first commercial drones falls right on your neck has to be one of the most Final Destination things in the world.
We inevitably had to call the police, which prevented us from going to see Lewis, who died from the weights, just like in the movie we all saw. Wendy was really suffering a lot from all of this, but at least the lie that I was also having certain visions made her feel less alone, in addition to having a plan to save us beyond looking at photos.

Finally, the last stop arrived: the hardware store where Ian and Erin worked, who were as skeptical of the whole thing as they were in the original story. I couldn't quite remember the chain of events in this scene, so I didn't really know what to do beyond trying to convince them and looking for a nail gun. Unfortunately, I failed in my task, since somehow the butterfly effect of my presence in this story seems to have led Ian to use an industrial heat gun instead of a nail gun, so in the end everything ended up happening the same way except that Erin ended up with her face melted this time.
With no one left to convince, we went to find Wendy's sister and her friend, whom we already knew had been on the roller coaster because I know that from the real world. They believed everything, so we immediately went to carry out the plan.
We met in a basement so nothing could get in through the window, and we also prepared a generator in case the power went out, and we had two defibrillators on hand in case one failed. We were all pretty scared, especially Julie, who was going to initiate the idea, but we knew we had no other choice. We shut down her heart for 40 seconds, and as we had predicted, Death tried to stop us when a termite-eaten tree fell outside, knocking out the power and burning out one of the defibrillator machines, but we managed to start the generator and successfully revive her.

With only one defibrillator left, Julie's friend Perry panicked and climbed out of the basement. Upon exiting, she discovered that the tree had largely broken through the building above her, and unbeknownst to her, the severed power line had come close to a gas leak due to the impact, causing an explosion that caused a flag to pierce his chest. The group went up because of the noise and we discovered the body and that the building was unstable, so we decided to leave.
There were still three of us in danger, and Wendy could feel like Death was still lurking around there. I also knew that she was probably angry and that we were in great danger. So we made a risky decision, we called an ambulance and when we saw it arriving we held hands and touched the cut power line.
I woke up with the sensation of electricity running through my chest. Looking to my left, I could see that Kevin had already been revived first, although his hands were quite injured from being the one who touched the wire, while to my right, I saw Julie performing CPR on Wendy, waiting for her to be revived. A first attempt to revive her didn't work, and I was already falling apart inside, because I could accept not having saved the rest, but I really wanted to save the protagonist. Fortunately, a second attempt was successful, reviving her, although she was still unconscious.

Together the three of us got into the ambulance and went to a hospital, while Julie stayed there waiting for the police to explain to them what had happened. Sitting on the way to the hospital, I reflected on these hectic days, in which I could have failed several times, but I managed to save three people (and myself) which frankly was more than I expected considering how difficult it is to cheat Death.
Finally happy with what I had achieved, I closed my eyes and when I opened them again I found myself back in the real world.
