CHARACTERS THAT STRANGELY "REPRESENT" ME

Characters

HELLO EVERYONE!!!

How are you? I hope you're well.

This article, which was going to be part of a challenge, I decided to put aside due to personal matters, but when I looked through my drafts, I came across this one. And I wanted to write it because it seemed fun. So let's get started!

(WARNING: THIS ARTICLE IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. DO NOT TAKE THE CHARACTERS' PERSONALITIES SERIOUSLY OR IDEALIZE ANY REAL PERSON. IT SIMPLY ATTACHES TO DETAILS YOU MAY RELATE TO. THANK YOU AND ENJOY!)

Series

- Lucy (Fallout Series)

Fun fact: As a kid, I used to play the Fallout mobile game on my school iPad when I was in middle school. A boy there told me all about the game. I never saw him again because of the quarantine, but I hope he enjoyed the series.

Lucy, the protagonist of the Fallout series, has similar vibes to mine. She's cute, sensitive, and kind, but she's also strong, intelligent, and hungry for new adventures and worlds. We both always search for answers and fight to find satisfying solutions.

- Ragatha (Digital Circus)

Fun fact: After I had a fight with a friend, I stopped watching TDAC. But when I joined an art community, I gave the series a second chance and this time I enjoyed it. I even went to the The Last Act premiere, but dressed up as Gangle since I got her in a “Which character are you?” Quiz.

When I watched Digital Circus, I realized how similar I am to Ragatha, a charismatic and optimistic rag doll who wants to show the bright side of things, very much like me. But both she and I sometimes have to maintain that positive attitude to avoid going crazy. Although in my case, it would be my anxiety, depression, and stress, which can affect my overall health and jeopardize my personal relationships.

- Princess Carolyn (Bojack Horseman)

Fun fact: I not only identify with Princess Carolyn, but I also fear becoming like her in the arts and entertainment industry, as well as in my personal life with things like finding a partner and being a present mother

Of all the characters in BoJack Horseman, Princess Carolyn was the one I identified with the most. Both of us, when we want to be happy, encounter obstacles that make it harder to reach our goals. Like Ragatha, we try to maintain an optimistic attitude by helping others, but sometimes we don't have time to help ourselves. This is something I've been working on lately, with the goal of being a better person.

• Lexi (Euphoria)

Fun fact: Just like Lexie we are going through a great path to achieve our goals. It's sad her character was wasted on the last season of the show.

She's one of my favorite characters in the series, and I think you'll understand why after everything I've read. If you put me in the Euphoria universe, I might have a somewhat stereotypical style from the show, but not as revealing as 90 percent of the girls. However, I'd have the same personality as Lexi: no toxic marriage, no sex, no alcohol, no crime, no drugs, no ONLYF*NS, etc.

Like Lexi, I would obviously have problems and the occasional trauma. But even so, I'm able to face them and accept the consequences of my actions. We have challenges, people who make us feel inferior, getting hurt when facing difficult situations, and having to live in a chaotic environment. Sometimes I can lose my temper, but that doesn't diminish my creativity, effort, charisma, and wisdom.

• Glenn (The Walking Dead)

Fun fact: I didn't stopped watching TWD when they killed him off.

Glenn, being one of the most beloved characters in the saga and deserving of better, was very special to both the protagonists and the fans. His energy, shyness, honesty, strong character that gradually develops, and concern for others are what stand out most about him and the points that define who I am as a person. Yes, and sometimes we can be so honest that we might let slip a little secret or two.

.

• Gary (Final Space)

Fun fact: When I found out the series was slowly becoming Lost Media, thanks to Adult Swim, I stopped watching the channel.

Like Glenn, Gary has undergone a remarkable transformation. He's gone from immature, curious, and energetic (as he was as a child and pre-teen) to more mature, strong, empathetic, and wise (similar to how he was as a teenager). By season three, he already had a stronger character with a forward-looking perspective, determined not to rest until he found a satisfactory solution.

Movies

- Maxxine (The X saga)

Fun fact: Her iconic quote was so motivating that I wrote it on a Post-it note and put it on my bedroom mirror with my other motivational Post-it notes.

The fact that I sometimes sacrifice myself for others and that I may encounter setbacks when trying to achieve my goals doesn't mean I don't have a goal in mind. As Max from X would say:

I'M A FREAKING STAR, THE WORLD WILL KNOW MY NAME! I WILL NOT ACCEPT A LIFE I DON'T DESERVE!

Although our personalities are very different, we have something in common. No matter what happens, we will fight for what we want and we won't rest until we have the life we dream of.

- Jack Russell (Werewolf By Night)

Fun fact: At first, I didn't like the idea of Gael García Bernal as an MCU character, but he proved me wrong. And he became one of my favorite characters. I have no doubt he accepted the role because he's a present father of three and a good friend of Michael Giacchino.

It's going to be funny, but Gael Garcia Bernal's Jack Russell also has the same characteristics as me. We're serious and reserved at first glance, seemingly only thinking of ourselves, but once someone gets to know us, we're empathetic and sensitive people who care about others, even to the point of getting hurt while trying to solve a problem.

- Many Torres (Babylon)

Fun fact: I wasn't familiar with Diego Calva, but I was blown away by his performance in Babylon. I think it was worth the three hours. He definitely has potential. By the way, who real person did they base his character on? Since they're fictionalized versions of important figures from silent film.

Like Maxxine, Many Torres has a forward-looking perspective, structuring his goals to the point where we think we can be part of something historic in art. When we talk about work experience, we take it very seriously. And in a chaotic environment like the behind-the-scenes world of silent films, where the goal is to do everything possible to keep things under control without losing your mind, I could behave that way if the planning were poorly structured.

-PVssyc@t (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood)

Fun fact: The movie inspired me to make my own version of the story but with the youth music industry and give a happy ending to someone I love very much. *See my discussions to understand.*

Obviously, it's not because I'm part of a sociopathic hippie cult or because I'm immature. It's simply that the charisma and positivity Margaret Qualley brings to this character give it a vibe similar to how my best friends describe me.

I always wondered if this movie was magic. Because just seeing young people act for 10 minutes in a film by a major director and then seeing them again as young icons of the industry is a dream come true, nepotism or no nepotism. But that's another story…
