Love
General ReviewsIt is the last day to publish this left as I write this, but I just do not want to regret not writing in this how I regretted not participating in the one of music in movies just because “there was not enough time”.
But it is difficult. I have quite a lot of TV obsessions, but none recent. The thing is once I obsess over anything, it will stay there forever! Well (≖_≖ ) not necesarily, but it needs to do something BAD for me to take it down. And if you have read any of my articles you can probably tell that I am quite difficult? to please, not just anything gets a place there, but once there it is difficult for it to come down. But it can happen alright, I have a couple of examples of that, but this is not the place for that! Or maybe it could be… there are certainly shows we hate to love or love to hate, which isn't the same, think about it for a second.
Why do we obsess over a show or a movie anyway? Sometimes it's their visuals, their beautiful scenes or not so beautiful frames that connect; sometimes it is the great delivery an actor made; it may be the music that plays the strings of our hearts to lead us somewhere specific or a story that engage us and catches our attention without letting go. Sometimes it is all of those together.
My TV obsessions aren't necessarily new stuff, more often than not I find something that has been out there for a while for the first time and just become obsessed when everyone has moved on because I don't like waiting for the next episode to come out and hate to give TV a chance when the hype is through the sky, it ends up rather dissappointing. If you raise my expectations for a show, I will most likely not like the actual thing. This has gotten me in trouble with so many people. (。•́︿•̀。)
It is kind of funny how I hadn't realized I have no new TV obsessions, there are some new shows I'm watching but I would not call them an obsession, there are some I would even dare to call trash. It is ok, we all love trash, it doesn't stop being trash because of that anyway. In that sense I may not have a current TV obsession as much as a latest, even then it goes back all the way to 2020… that's not good.
I can't bring myself to pick something.
Ahhh! Forget it! Nobody is going to see this since the challenge is about to end anyway. Let's go with Violet Evergarden. This is kind of a controversial topic, isn't it? If you have seen this show you are in one of two groups, either you think it is utter trash or you love it. While it seems to be moving to the shelf for a lot of people after the story ended with their last movie between 2020 and 2021, which I will admit I didn't really like but the ending of the dolls after the apparition of the telephone is good; this show will forever hold an important place for me.
Many people say this is just something to cry, but as much as there may be some truth to that, whether you liked it or hated it, if this show was just something you watched to feel pain, you didn't really got it.
I'm starting to think I'm not made for love. Maybe that is a strong statement, but I am reaching that age in which everyone seems to be in such a hurry to find love and I am not? Don't get me wrong, I know there is people who feel perfectly fine being single, but I have never fallen in love per se. I have never experienced it the way I listen to other people speak of it. I don't understand the cheesy lyrics of songs or the frankly unnecessary drama in movies surrounding a couple. Don't get me started on Rewrite the stars, boy!
So even if I wasn't exactly as cold as Violet, I was and still am the person that will listen to the drama of other people and very awkwardly go “good for you” or “that sucks”? Violet Evergarden is a story about someone trying to find the meaning of love and not falling in love with this perfect man… which is why I hated the ending, but anyways, it is a story where I can see all the shapes and colors of love in a world that tries to shove their definition of love down everybody's throats! Don't you dare say that isn't true, Google the word love in the image searcher, I dare you. It is all couples and hearts! Violet Evergarden shows us that love can come in a sheet of paper or have the shape of the calygraphy of someone special, as someone who enjoys writing this is kind of touching is a very personal level.
