"GOOSEBUMPS"
General ReviewsPersonally, I don't enjoy horror movies very much because most of them are very predictable. All or almost all of them have a good start, but when it comes to the ending, almost all of them. I don't want to generalize, but the vast majority tend to the same in their endings: there's always a storm, the power goes out, the creatures chase them, they hurt some part of their body that prevents them from being faster and gives the creatures time to catch them. It is not my intention to offend anyone's work, on the contrary, I greatly respect their work, however, it seems that the horror genre is lacking new, fresher ideas that dare to take horror or terror to another level, that is not the same old thing, that there is no storm, that they do not hurt any part of the body, that the creature does something different than just chasing them to kill them, that they dare to put a good strategic mind to the creature, that it is a creature that perhaps comes to change information or to study the human race or that it is something different from what they have sold us in recent years, we already know what will happen because they are not making an effort to make the outcomes and some better not even mention the endings because they are even worse there are always one or two survivors who ended up with broken legs or without some limbs but they always end up defeating the beings that we do not even know what they are, what they want and why they are on this planet, not to mention that everything always happens in the United States of America and coincidentally these beings speak English.
We don't have anything new if it's not exorcisms, it's possessed dolls or strange creatures that tend to kill but haunt you. Personally, I don't enjoy it because, again, they are very predictable. I hope they dare to show us something different, something new, something that makes us think. There are so many paranormal things that happen in real life that it's possible to create a magnificent horror story that goes beyond possessed dolls or creatures that haunt and kill people.
Not to mention that they can use other settings other than the United States and that people don't speak English, so that this time the white people see it in Spanish and see what it really is, a horror movie made in a horror setting where you have nothing at hand to defend yourself, where you don't have 3 cars parked and when you want to escape, they coincidentally don't turn on or you lose the keys, that's more of the same. They should make a Mexican-style horror in Mexican settings and the white people would surely shit themselves.
That is what is missing from the terror of today, but that will no longer be possible in these times because now there are very sensitive people and they feel attacked by everything and if I am talking about the new generations of crystal, all this is going to shit with ideologies that, in order to attend to their free expression, prohibit or limit those who do not think like them from exercising their free expression.
