Doom 2005

Doom 2005 is a Science fiction action horror movie based off of the Id software Video games of the same name directed by Andrzej Bartkowaik. Staring Dwayne the rock Johnson as the Sarge, Karl Urban as John grimm, Deobia Oparei as Destroyer, Ben Daniels as Goat, Raz Adoti as Duke, Richard Brake as portman, Al weaver as kid, Yao chin as Katsuhiko Kumanosuke Takahashi Mac, Dexter fletcher as pinky and Rosamund pike as Dr sam grimm. After responding to a distress call from the UAC base on mars an elite squadron of marines are sent to the base on mars for a search and rescue mission. When the team arrives they meet Marcus pinzeroski pinky for short and also they meet Johns sister Samantha Grimm and John escorts her to retrieve uac reserch data and John about the dig site where there parents lost there lives years earlier the same site was reopened and they found advanced humanoid skeleton that are enhanced with an artificial pair of a 24th chromosome. Meanwhile as the rest of the team are searching for survivors they find Dr Carmack but not in good condition and they bring him to the medical lab but he disappears. The Team finds an unknown creature in the genetics lab that leads the to the sewers. The creature attacks and kills goat and the creature gets killed by the team. They bring the creature to the lab and Sam performs an autopsy but finds out the organs in the creature are human. Sam and Duke see goat in the next room resurrect but goat kills himself. Sam and duke are attacked by a monster who was Dr Carmack. The Squad hunts down several monsters throughout the base but Mac Destroyer and portman die in the mission. They learn more about the C24 chromosome and it turns out it's alien. The team has new orders to stop everything coming to earth even humans. Kid finds survivors but is ordered to kill them all but refuses and gets killed by sarge. The group is suddenly attack by monster who kill duke and drag sarge and pinky away. Reaper is wounded by a stray bullet. Sam saves johns life by injecting the serum in him. Reaper wakes up and finds out his wounds healed. John fights his way through the facility and he finds and battles pinky and gets to sam. John and sarge have a fight. John gets the upper hand and wins the fight against sarge. John sends sarge back through the mars portal with a grenade and destroys the base and Sarge. Reaper and sam escape the base. Doom 2005 is a simple popcorn flick where if you go into it not expecting much you will have a good time. I found the team dynamic very good between the marines, the monster designs are not too bad but where the films shines is the FPS Sequence near the end of the film as that felt like a level in a Doom game and that was cool.
