Heroe's sacrifice (End Game)
General ReviewsThe element of sacrifice dates back thousands of years and we can see it in storytelling and myths even our very own bible's hero, our lord and saviour sacrificed his life. We like to appeal to these emotions in film aswell, along with some other human/cultural emotions.
This film where Tony Stark one of the heroes of the film (for his above average intetelect) sacrificed himself for the greater good which showed a contrast on his selfish, egoistic outlook in life stunning the viewer. If Tony Stark aka Iron man didn't sacrifice himself in the movie an alternate element for the ending would be "the coronation" where an underdog character has the opportunity to overcome his fears or disabilities and show he has what it takes to lead the battle in the war of good and evil, and I think the Hulk would have been a formidable character to transform into the hero that would have not only outsmart and killed the antagonist (Thanos) but lead the avengers to a follow up movie where The Hulk reaches an almost indestructible and caring essence exceeding Captain America's leadership. This was foreshadowed in the scene where Hulk tried to make the time mashine work but couldn't and when he snapped everybody back but was left crippled. As an alternate ending I would have extended the scene with the Hulk and the ancient one and created the Hulk into what Dr Strange would have become and would have had Dr Strange sacrifice his powers for the greater good making the Hulk the keeper of the stones in the last battle scene, this would still appeal to the selfless sacrifice of Dr Strange and a king of heroes would have emerged from the rubble (Hulk) and this would also give Dr Strange another challenge to overcome not tainting Iron man's intellect and contribution.
