This show is just average—nothing to write home about. If the second season or other spin-offs continue at the same level as this one, I seriously have to think about whether it's worth watching. I had high hopes for the spin-offs, but now I feel like it would have been better to stop last year and preserve the fond memories of the original "The Walking Dead." I'm not kidding; this IP is really going downhill.

"The Walking Dead" must break free from the natural setting devoid of human traces and return to the abandoned city to inject new life into future series. They must build interactions between the characters and the environment to uncover fresh storylines. However, the writers are still clinging to the old characters, constantly dredging up past grudges and conflicts that no longer resonate with the audience. So, focusing solely on the animosity between Maggie and Negan won't cut it anymore.

This show is a classic case of starting strong but losing steam. While it's an improvement compared to some later parts of "The Walking Dead," it feels like the production budget fell short. The CGI effects aren't visually impressive, and the conflicts just don't hit hard enough. The writer attempts to create chemistry and conflict between the characters, but the pacing is sluggish. The last episode is heavy on dialogue but still somewhat watchable.

The most gripping moment in the first episode of this "The Walking Dead" spin-off was the scene with Negan and the bat. But let's be real; the series as a whole is just too talky and mundane. There's nothing really new except for the different types of zombies. The plot keeps going in circles, always returning to the feud between Maggie and Negan. If it's about revenge, Maggie should've made her move already! So, what's in store for the second season? Any chance of some romantic drama between the two?

I was initially genuinely excited about this series, but the ongoing back-and-forth between Negan and Maggie got old quickly. And the villains this season? They lacked any real punch, whether the Manhattan gang or New Babylon. It was all so bland and unappealing. The only thing that stood out was the post-apocalyptic urban setting. Here's hoping the second season steps it up. And seriously, Negan and Maggie need to either get together or move on from this constant pairing, you know?

As a die-hard fan who has been there through the highs and lows of "The Walking Dead" series, I had some expectations for this spin-off. But man, I had to fast-forward through the first episode and eventually gave up halfway. The dialogue, tone, and plot felt so awkward, and the editing was all over the place. Plus, the pacing was painfully slow. Even with the city setting, they failed to capture that thrilling atmosphere that hooks you. It just didn't click for me.
