Set in simple locations—an elderly care home, a suburban mansion, and a cramped apartment—the film’s slow-paced rhythm brings the story together seamlessly. This measured pace suits the theme of aging and companionship. The expressions and actions of the foreign caregivers and the wealthy local elderly women appear cold and even unfeeling, yet within their mutually dependent relationships, a logical and deep emotional bond develops, one that hints at an outpouring of affection ready to overflow at any moment.
