Hellboy: The Crooked Man (2024)★ 4.1/10

This felt like an amateur student film. Anung Un Rama deserves better

While the plot is relatively tight, it lacks depth and originality. Hellboy’s character remains iconic, but there’s little evolution from earlier portrayals. The introduction of a rookie agent adds a hint of freshness but lacks chemistry with the titular antihero, leaving the narrative feeling tepid and uninspired.

Say what you will about the 2019 reboot—it was bad, but at least it had a budget. The 2024 installment, however, is shockingly devoid of visual effects, with what little existing CGI all buried in murky lighting to cut costs. The result feels cheap and visually barren.

O resultado parece barato e visualmente estéril.
