It's a qualified comedy, with many humourous moments and an innovatively unconventional ending. The predominantly handheld camerawork and precise focal control, along with the shaky cam effects, emulate the mockumentary style seen in "What We Do in the Shadows" and "Borat". The zoom-out at the end is impressive .

This film, while structured like a Hollywood commercial film, surpasses Hollywood's recent standards and offers a viewing experience superior to "The Social Network." It avoids the pitfalls of documentary-style storytelling, maintaining a tight pace without sacrificing the humor and tension essential to commercial movies. The three lead actors gave distinct and memorable performances which are passable in Hollywood's standards.

It's a commercial film through and through and I didn't expect it'd be screened at the Berlin International Film Festival. BlackBerry shares a common issue with many other internet companies: a genius founder creates a revolutionary product but fails to be innovate further or successfully emulate the next groundbreaking invention that appeared, ultimately fading into history. The interpretation that its downfall was due to subpar Chinese-manufactured products suggests lazy writing from the scriptwriters.

While not as visually opulent as "The Social Network," "BlackBerry" has excellent pacing. The director knows what he wants, capturing the era when dreams become reality, the golden age of passion and aspiration through meticulous attention to detail.

It's a pseudo-documentary with handheld filming, capturing the essence of the times through a voyeuristic lens. The film delves into the tug-of-war and compromise between business and technology, efficiency and creativity, depicting the rise and fall of the Blackberry phone. It serves as a reflection of its era as well as a cautionary tale. The movie feels kinda like “The Social Network”, but it might meet the same fate as the Blackberry phone in the end—ignored by everyone.

As a comedy, it's a solid piece of work with plenty of funny moments and an effectively executed unconventional ending. Visually, it's mostly shot using handheld cameras, and the focus control is top-notch. The shaky, jerky camera work adds to the genre's parodying effect, and the zooming-out at the end is also impressive. However, what bothered me was that the character setups felt too similar to numerous other works, and the character arcs were somewhat peculiar. Lastly, the makeup ruins the sense of immersion; I wonder if that was an intentional choice...

Freaking amazing! Even though it may not be as visually and stylistically stunning as “The Social Network”, the pacing is great. When the world's top minds in mobile technology come together and create a product which takes the lead in the market, who can beat them? Whoops, only super geniuses. And history tends to repeat itself; a company will inevitably face challenges regardless of how outstanding its product is or how much market share it holds when its top decision-makers both have significant personality flaws. The director has a great vision and meticulously recreates that era when dreams came true, the dazzling era that ignited everyone's passion and imagination.
