It's not a synopsis, I'm talking about the director.

Adriana_LancasterJuly 22, 2024This movie has three cult-like, allegorical stories that use extreme, made-up setups and plotlines to discuss universal topics like human relationships and what society expects from us. Even though it has some dark humor that might throw you off a bit, these stories make you think deeply about yourself. The second story is a ray of hope. It's like a reminder to be yourself, be kind, and keep looking for love that's really worth it.

Alexandre-WJuly 22, 2024This movie blew me away! Personally, I liked it even more than "Poor Things." The insane plot had me glued to my seat the whole time. The director's use of color and cinematography was just chef's kiss. It's definitely not gonna be everyone's cup of tea, but those ultra-weird visuals really sucked me in.

Tracy_MoranJuly 22, 2024This film dives deep into the weird relationship between sex and power through three connected stories. With all the sex and food stuff, it creates some crazy situations of control and puts the characters through submission tests. Each main character goes down a dark path just 'cause they're scared of being left out or changing things up. The title and little touches at the end add some quirky humor to this trippy piece of magical realism.

Jayden_ShannonJuly 22, 2024This flick tells three wild stories about work, family, and society. It shows how far people will go to fit in when "being loved or controlled" is the end-all-be-all. Being a puppet feels like the only option. Even though the pacing's a bit off and the stories don't always mesh well, it still keeps you hooked till the credits roll.

Alison_MoonJuly 22, 2024Yorgos Lanthimos was clearly going for a "Twin Peaks" vibe here, but he doesn't quite nail the blend of humor and suspense. The dialogue feels heavy and awkward, missing the mark on the intended humor. The sound design doesn't really add to the horror atmosphere either. While the third part shows a bit more creativity, it's still held back by shallow satire and actors who seem to be phoning it in. It's just not that engaging overall.
