I liked it better the second time, after all the hype has passed. Its in-depth look at McCarthyism and bureaucracy still makes it a heady film and a thinker. The twist at the end is telegraphed, although that's reflected in Kitty's outburst. It's a beautiful movie with amazing performances and cinematography. Well worth the rewatch!

Nolan was actually asked, "Which actors do you want?" and he replied, "ALL of THEM!!!

A genius of unmatched talent, using all his ability to do evil.
I'm talking about Nolan.

Oppenheimer is a compelling biographical film, though its narrative is not as complex as Inception or Interstellar. The bulk of the focus is on character development, and the movie emphasizes introspection over spectacle. Overall, it remains a captivating film, showcasing the beauty of physics in a way only Nolan could achieve.

If the movie had ended after the first two hours, it would only have been an excellent drama. However, the third hour—marked by thunderous applause and soul-piercing brilliance—elevates Oppenheimer to greatness, making it one of the most important films of our time.

It definitely deserves a rewatch. The movie revisits the reasons and impacts of the creation of the atomic bomb through Oppenheimer's hearing process regarding whether he was a spy. The conversation between him and Einstein in the final segment is truly captivating. It's a thought-provoking movie that delves into essential themes, and the three-hour viewing is worth it!

This three-hour movie is packed with content, with almost 80-90% of it consisting of dialogue-driven scenes. It delves into the world of political conspiracies with satirical undertones, exploring the inseparable relationship between science and politics. It incorporates a significant amount of historical and political elements, requiring the viewers to have a deep understanding of these contexts to fully grasp the critical significance of the story. The scene featuring the conversation between Oppenheimer and Einstein at the end encapsulates the core theme of the entire story.

This movie is genuinely Christopher Nolan's best work. However, it falls slightly short in terms of pacing and performance. Perhaps due to the abundance of content in many scenes, the pacing and staging can feel tedious and monotonous. While Cillian Murphy's performance showcases Oppenheimer’s exceptional talent, it fails to capture Oppenheimer’s charm as a charismatic lover and scientific leader. His portrayal becomes repetitive and monotonous.

The story is captivating and engaging. It cleverly avoids a straightforward narrative by incorporating flashbacks and interweaving moments from Dr. Oppenheimer's life. This storytelling technique makes Oppenheimer more lively as a character, while also adding depth and emotional impact. While including highly technical scientific elements may challenge the average viewer to fully comprehend and appreciate, this film strikes a fantastic balance. Overall, it's an impressive piece of cinema that's definitely worth your time. I can't recommend it enough!

This movie is incredibly informative. The first half feels more like watching a documentary, and it's not until about an hour and a half in that I really start getting into the emotions of the male lead. I highly recommend giving it a second watch because the overall audio and visual effects are incredibly immersive, and the characters are portrayed in an exceptionally genuine manner.

This movie perfectly balances between appealing to a wide audience and showcasing artistic excellence. The story is both intricate and coherent. Despite its lengthy three-hour duration, the emotions and themes unfold layered and natural. The visual and auditory effects are absolutely stunning, and the subject matter is truly epic. The only minor suggestion would be to slightly lower the prominence of the soundtrack.
