The first half feels unusually sluggish, almost like playing house with a bunch of lame jokes. However, as the film progresses, it gradually finds its stride. Towards the end, there are several tear-jerking moments, and by the conclusion, the film has truly drawn me in. This is the American dream—a joyous celebration of life, where even the underdogs can succeed and be their most beautiful selves.

Taika Waititi is returning to form with this film. Though the overall plot feels kinda generic, and the halftime pep talk comes off a bit forced, most of the humor doesn't make you cringe like in “Thor: Love and Thunder". The main characters showed growth as the story progressed, and the narrative approach for the final victory was quite creative.

I'm a sucker for sports movies like this. The film is not groundbreaking in any sense, but the story itself is really quite fascinating. Is Samoa really as chill and beautiful as portrayed in the movie? It really makes me want to live there. Here are my thoughts about this film: 1. The dance battle is really captivating, with a sort of raw power and beauty to it. It’s really infectious. 2. Football is just a game in which having fun is more important than winning. 3. I thought Jaiyah was just a fictional happy-go-lucky character in the movie, but it turns out she's based on a real person. I had no idea about the emphasis on personal happiness in Samoan traditional culture, and I never knew about the concept of "Fa'afafine" as a third gender. 4. The world is so vast and I really want to travel and experience as much of it as I can.

This movie is incredibly entertaining. With a healthy dose of Waititi's trademark absurdity and some very emotional moments. It's a commercial film that manages to be entertaining while also showcasing Samoan culture. The director really nailed it. Indeed, the most touching stories are always the real ones.

Realmente me hace querer vivir allí.
