The superhero universe is really appealing; it's full of nostalgia and the heroes' charisma, doing good without other issues getting lost in the story. It's well-made and beautiful to watch.

Seeing it at 240p in the cinema was not the best experience, but it is okay

Highly recommended even though it wasn't very acclaimed by people.

It’s been a while since a Marvel film leaned this hard into vintage sci-fi. The visual design is striking, arguably some of the best in recent MCU history. The first two acts move briskly, but the third act fumbles a bit. Still, it has a strong American comic vibe, and its themes of love, virtue, and goodness shine through.

The first half is captivating. With a retro-futuristic aesthetic that feels like a cousin to "WandaVision," the film establishes a unique tone. Yet, as the movie progresses, the dialogue-heavy script and underwhelming final showdown make it feel like a missed opportunity for a truly grand finale.

I love the chemistry between the actors, definitely Sue is the heart of the movie, you can feel the love and unity of the actors as a family! The pace was good! I liked that there was no forced jokes and everything well pretty much natural! And I loved Herbie

Don’t you dare touch that dial, you are indeed watching the right channel, this is THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS, brought to you in beautiful Fantavision™. Starring Reed Richards AKA Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm AKA Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm AKA Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm AKA The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bacharach), this is Marvel’s first family. After three (technically four) failed attempts, there is now a not only good, but great FANTASTIC FOUR movie. Similar to the recent SUPERMAN, this throws you into the deep end and quickly and sufficiently gives you their origin story. The family has been saving people for four years now, and Reed and Sue are expecting a baby. After the joyous news, a silver figure known as Shallah-Bal AKA the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) flies down from space and announces that Earth has been selected to be eaten by Galactus (Ralph Ineson), the planet-devouring cosmic god. He is scary and comic book accurate. Ralph has a one-of-a-kind voice that perfectly fits Galactus. Marvel has hit their second home run this year. I loved this movie. It has a unique retro sci-fi aesthetic that sort of reminded me of THE JETSONS. I need to talk about production designer Kasra Farahani. He has brought what he did on LOKI and has expanded it to create a very cool world. This movie takes itself more seriously than many previous Marvel films, letting the emotional moments breathe, allowing the audience to float in the character’s adjacent feelings. Now that I think about it, my main problem with Marvel movies has been how the act of connecting the universe’s endless web of characters and teams can sometimes overshadow the story or the writing of a particular installment. This movie has none of that. For those of you worried about needing any prior knowledge from other Marvel movies, worry not, intrepid moviegoers! This movie takes place on Earth-828, while the Marvel Cinematic Universe that we know is on Earth-616. No homework needed, yay! This is one of those rare Marvel movies that can stand fully on its own. The movie does a great job in grounding the more cosmically crazy premise in the humanity of the characters. With great performances and chemistry, this family actually feels like a family. Some moments felt like a Saturday morning cartoon, in the best way. It just goes to show, if you’re faithful to the source material and its characters, the fans will flock. THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS is a fantastic family movie with heart, where the heart of the movie is family. Superhero fans are eating good this month!

This review contains SPOILERS!:

This film is an ode to the golden age of Marvel Comics; visually, narratively and thematically.

The fantastic four is known for being the first family of marvel and within reason since they are the creation of two guys who wanted to change the way comic stories were told back in the 60s (from where this movie takes the retrofuturistic style to heart).

Stan Lee and Jack Kirby are felt all over the movie, even with a special cameo of sorts; when Silver Surfer, The Herald of Galactus comes to earth you can see briefly two comic artist watching her and those are supposed to be Lee and Kirby. The way the story goes is very reminiscent of the stories the duo did for the F4 back in the day, very sci-fi, goofy and fun to interact with.

These are thoughts from a bud that has a nostalgic love for the F4 of the early 2000s movies, but you can feel some of the old flicks contributed, in specific Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer (2007) that one of the team connects to The Herald to try to convice them to help them save their planet, in the 2007 movie was Sue with Norrin Rad and in 2025 is Johnny with Shalla-Bal but what also happens in the movie is that Sue sacrifices herself and dies in the process with Norrin bringing her back and now was baby Franklin showing to the audience how powerful is the little bud even now.

With now this being the third movie the MCU has released this year I gotta say that early in the year I've had my doubts with the Captain America movie not being very good and kinda dissapointed 'cus it was very obvious it changed from being a political thriller to...dunno something that felt it wanted (and needed) The Hulk since the villains of that film are principally enemies to Bruce Banner and conflict was very mid.

Then with the Thunderbolts having to expectentions what-so-ever I was really impressed with their thight story about found family and asking for help when you feel the void sinking in, combined with a rogue gallery of misfits that won the heart that prevoiusly most of them didn't even stayed on the mind of the spectator. Even with some bumps it was a very good MCU movie.

Now with this one even with all the praise I can give it I want to share some nickpicky things: This being the second short movie de MCU has done; the first being The Marvels under 1 hr and 45 min and this one being under 1hr and 54ish min makes me wonder that it's not what they thought it needed but what ended being. In some part I felt that stuff was cut (and we know they did it like with The Red Ghost character John Malkovich did filmed for this movie to ending up cut and just a mention), like what The Cosmonaut Variety Hour said on their review; makes it look like they (The Studios Executives) wanted sooo bad the movie to not be bad or at least be percived as bad since this one is the prelude to what will be Avengers: Doomsday this one needed to work in all the shapes and forms.

In the end you will have a good time watching the first family and their message of community, family and chivalry the world needs now.
