Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Mugen Train (2020)★ 8.1/10

Upon reflection, the biggest problem for me is the sense of disjointedness. The film's resolution relies on the protagonist's "plot armor," but in the latter half, this shifts to a tragic hero narrative, with little to no effective transition between the two. Taken separately, both parts work, but together they lack cohesion.

The overall experience was, to put it bluntly, dreadful. This isn't really a feature film but more like ten episodes of a TV series stitched together. The pacing is terrible, leaving you exhausted by the end. The biggest issue is that the strengths of the TV series haven't carried over, and the balance of the film's structure is all off.

This is one of the greatest Japanese animation of all-time! Demon Slayer is a must-watch franchise, don't miss it!

A slap in the face to many other animations that are coming out. Demon Slayer manages to innovate both in its cinematographic movements and in its very well-done animation. This movie has a lot of tension, an overwhelming suspense. But also incredible action scenes that show us the true power of a Hashira. However, make no mistake, like a good anime, the strong emotions are never left out, you have to be careful not to cry.
