Eng7ladeSeptember 2, 2024
Eng7ladeSeptember 2, 2024This movie is about an astronaut on a long mission in space who gets bad news about his family. He's dealing with being alone, feeling stressed out, and even seeing things that might not be real. But whether those things are explained to be just in his head or if they're really out there, it's all cliche. The biggest problem is that the movie moves really slowly, and with a predictable story and a slow pace, staying interested in what's happening on screen is hard.

amandainnySeptember 2, 2024"Spaceman" really draws people in with its peaceful, lonely vibe. It does a great job of showing the environment, the characters, and the atmosphere in a really detailed and subtle way. Some people might find it boring or not very emotional, but watching this movie could be just the thing for those who want to chill out and relax on a peaceful night.

containsfurApril 30, 2024This soft sci-fi movie falls short despite the cool space scenes. The way they convey emotions in the film just doesn't capture the loneliness as expected. The movie wants to get people thinking about family and themselves through the loneliness of the character Jakub in space, but the pacing is all off. First, those weird spider hallucinations don't seem to serve much purpose, and I couldn't grasp Jakub's connection to that. I'd give it a 4 out of 10, considering the cool nebula and scenes, but the plot has some serious flaws.

ANTÍA-8843April 14, 2024If you approach it like a sci-fi flick, you're bound to be let down because it's really more of an artsy film. The theme of "exploration" is repeated in this movie, showing that sometimes the truth isn't a big deal, and the finale isn't everything. What really counts is the adventure of exploration, the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the hope and the letdowns, the thrill and the jitters. Like they say, the "beginning" doesn't signal the end.

P3atríciaApril 14, 20245/10. The director tried to nail that deep sense of isolation, but his attempt at weaving in themes of "self-awareness" and "turning over a new leaf" within the grand story really falls flat in romance. And sadly, it doesn't hit the mark with audiences anymore. As a result, the film gets lost in trivial grievances and self-absorption. I bet "Ad Astra" and "First Man" handle that aspect much better than this film.

Vand.s.kApril 14, 2024
Vand.s.kApril 14, 2024I was in tears watching this! Directed by Johan Renck, this sci-fi film, based on Jaroslav Kalfar’s novel "Spaceman of Bohemia," blends the styles of Lem and Ted Chiang, weaving together humor, sensitivity, loneliness, romance, emotion, and philosophy. It even tips its hat to some classic sci-fi flicks. And with the haunting tunes of Max Richter, it perfectly captures the lonely, mesmerizing, and deeply emotional vibe of space's vastness.

Esteban EordoghApril 3, 2026
