All the people in town are fans of horror movies,
and every tragedy becomes a movie. As long as the person is a movie buff, he or she will repeat the same mistakes and provide new cases as sequels! With various tributes to horror classics and tropes being played around with, the creators have completely let themselves go, making every minute count! Who’d think that this sequel, more than a decade after the previous film, can be bloodier, crazier, and more surprising whilst being fun and nostalgic?

Only those who truly understand movies can understand what lies beyond this movie. A deconstruction of horror and beyond the script, a film within a film, fan culture, and more importantly, a reflection of the relationship between movies and audiences and the development of Hollywood cinema. It’s the most awesome movie I've seen recently. All the horror movie tropes you'd expect are not what you'd expected, for there are surprises at every turn.

It doesn't matter who the killer is at this point in the series. It's all about the tirades, the intertextuality, and the self-deconstruction.

It's so bad that it has all the tropes of bad horror movies. For example, why is there literally NOBODY except the main character and the ghost in the hospital? Moreover, all the actors' acting are so bad that I can't get into the movie at all, and the plot is outrageous!

I haven't seen the first movie, but I'm guessing it's a requel that continues this idea of abandoning the fundamental characterization of a horror movie series and utilizing anti-climactic plotting to complete the final trope. It's great in the theater, but when it comes to the key points of the story, it still relies on anti-intellectualism to keep the movie going, so I have to say that it needs a more intelligent plot design.

A superb sequel that is no less fun than the second movie, it offers familiar elements that will make loyal fans crazy. It's as if the director was Craven in disguise, making the movie as Scream as it should be. JUST COOL AS HELL.

The movie does a great job of continuing the quality features of the series, blending reality and cinema in a way that always pleases horror fans. It pays good homage to the first movie of the series in terms of character relationships, murderer characterization and crime scenes, and even pays homage to the entire series through the characters' lines, which deserves a strong applause here.

SURPRISED! Not only does it draw on Wes Craven in terms of gore, scares, and entertainment, it also manages to create a new generation of Scream. The director speaks through the characters, discussing propositions like "how to survive in a horror movie" and turning the first four films into "movies within movies”, which deconstructs, ridicules and rebels against the film itself and the formula of the horror genre. It also pays homage to the classics.

I couldn't tell if the director was trying to mock others or himself for a while. I thought the director was going for the big one, but the heroine was just given the identity of Killer Bill's daughter from the first movie, and then it's a big clichéd storyline again. C’mon. It’s 2020s, and you're doing this? The end credits also pay homage to Wes, but the homage seems senseless.

Can't say it's much of a subtle deconstruction, but the interaction with the first generation was a real surprise! And the easter egg of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood at the end was laugh-out-loud funny. Got tears in my eyes too.

SO AMAZING! All the original cast is back hahaha! And the twist at the end was unexpected and dark! A movie that's completely out of the box!

The new director handles the original with respect. The characters adhere to the clichés that have always been talked about in horror movies, with a lot of sarcasm directed at modern Hollywood productions - remakes and reboots of the so-called "Requal". Today's audiences can understand this meta-humor, but the question is how to appeal to both fans of the original and modern audiences. This time it shows us another group of teenagers, but barely introduces them, instead introducing the current status of the old characters. There is a connection between the old and new characters, but the utilization of the new characters and their resonance with a new and younger audience is not enough at all.
