wickeremergedAugust 24, 2024The viewing experience was way better than I expected, with insane special effects that blew me away. Even though the story is similar to the original version, the dramatic moments are handled with more finesse and detail. And that ending sequence where the tornado takes down the movie theater screen? It's like you're right there in the middle of the storm. So creative, so exciting, so great.

re-NATO4August 24, 2024
re-NATO4August 24, 2024This movie gives us a strong, fearless female protagonist, flipping the script on the usual male hero trope. Watching her go from a reckless kid to a grown-up who saves the day is super inspiring. The scenes where she takes on the storm and saves the world are pure excitement, showing the awesomeness of female power.

Cayla_LarsenAugust 24, 2024This disaster movie totally lives up to my expectations, delivering on all fronts with epic, heart-pounding scenes that are expertly crafted. It really drives home how small and helpless we are in the face of nature, especially considering all the extreme weather we've experienced in the real world. It's not just a visual spectacle—it's got some deep humanistic themes that remind us to appreciate and protect our planet.

Angie_LoweAugust 24, 2024This movie is a fast-paced, action-packed ride with some incredible tornado scenes. The soundtrack adds a lot of charm. The romance subplot adds a little warmth instead of taking away from the main disaster story. And surprisingly, I know most of the supporting actors, which is pretty cool. Overall, this movie is a step from the original version, with better-handled storytelling and more well-rounded characters. It really makes the tornadoes feel all the more terrifying. Plus, the film pays homage to the older version in a captivating way.

Carolina_RobersonAugust 24, 2024As a disaster flick, this movie does an okay job overall. It hits on all the genre's key points but doesn't dive deep into any of them. It's just sort of average. I can give it props for the fact that the female characters aren't just there to support the guys – they have some real weight. But the male and female leads are not that fleshed out. They don't have anything special that makes you feel for them or get caught up in the story.

Eli_SilvaAugust 23, 2024This movie is totally different from the usual hero-saves-the-day stories. It's got a brave and tough female lead instead of a guy. She starts out as a bit of a wild child, dreaming of taming tornadoes, and then she goes through this huge transformation after experiencing the real power of this natural disaster. The story really spoke to me, especially those scenes where she faces the storms and saves the day. It's just amazing and inspiring.

Celia_MolinaAugust 23, 2024The special effects in this movie are top-notch, and watching it on the big screen is just incredible. And I love how they use those folk-style songs to break up the tornado action, which gives you and the main character a chance to catch your breath and reflect on what's happening. It's a unique storytelling approach, thrilling and exciting one minute, peaceful and thoughtful the next.

Alexia_BrewerAugust 23, 2024It's so cool to finally see a great disaster movie on the big screen again. Compared to the old classic, this new one really nails it with its awesome special effects. It makes you feel like you're in the middle of the tornadoes, with all that sense of urgency and pressure building up. But the romantic side story in the movie just drags on and feels a little confusing, which kinda takes away from the whole experience.

Angelica_HarperAugust 1, 2024This is a solid popcorn movie! The special effects and sound are seriously top-tier. It nails the lead's journey from grappling with a huge tragedy to chasing tornadoes again. It also shines a light on the victims' struggles and society's shifts in attitude towards the chasers, from being sceptical to respectful. All in all, it's a fun popcorn flick with some thought-provoking moments. It's highly worth checking out!

Brett_SimonAugust 1, 2024Overall, this movie is solid. The special effects are excellent, but the non-action scenes can be a bit monotonous. The last half-hour is definitely the highlight. If you see it in theaters, especially IMAX, you'll really feel the tornado's power and how fragile human beings are. And the lead actress is pretty gorgeous!

Anita_ZhangAugust 1, 2024I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10. It really shows the raw power of tornadoes, and the Dolby sound system makes it feel like you're just right in the middle of it. The story flows really well, and the Frankenstein-disaster connection in the final scene works really well. It makes you think about how small we are compared to nature but inspires awe without making you feel defeated. It's a really thought-provoking gem.
