Beneath its wild humor, the film works better as social commentary than pure comedy. It doesn’t advocate abandoning responsibilities or undermining men; instead, it calls for dismantling societal expectations that pressure both parents and children. By honestly depicting the struggles mothers face, the first half becomes uncomfortably relatable.

Despite its themes of parenthood and rebellion, "Bad Moms" never stirred any emotions in me, nor did it make me reflect on family ties or motherhood itself. As an R-rated comedy, only the early chaotic sequences genuinely land, while the latter half settles into safer and less engaging territory.
