lexieeJanuary 24, 2024An unlikely friendship indeed. I just love the voice of Ryan Reynolds in a little cute Pikachu (actually, not that cute, but watch first). The story is really funny, Psyduck is the most relatable character of all time, for sure. At the end of the day, It still feels like a movie from the early 2000s, and "I think that's beautiful". Short version of this review: When Pokémon are onscreen, I'm glad.

In spite of everything, I am glad that it did well at the box office because, although it deserved better, it has a potential that can help it establish itself and reinvent itself as a renewed franchise for these times.

"Detective Pikachu" turned out to be a fun movie and true to the source material. Taking into account the failure of most video game movies, "Detective Pikachu" manages to exceed our expectations and was well received by fans and critics alike.
