The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)★ 8.5/10

This movie includes action scenes that'll thrill both die-hard fans and casual viewers. It pulls elements from different game generations. The plot's straightforward and easy to get, which actually makes it a hit with the crowd. And let's not forget, it nails that pure gaming joy from back in the day.

Despite riding on the game series' popularity, this animated movie really nails the adaptation. The visuals are top-notch, and the details are on point, effortlessly mixing cool and cute. It's a fun ride, making those 90 minutes fly by. Every familiar scene brings back memories of playing games with friends back in the day.

It's pretty much a run-of-the-mill movie; even with my fan bias, I can only give it an 8 out of 10. The best part is how true it stays to the game, packed with Easter eggs. But if they're thinking of making a sequel in the same way, I wonder if they can really make it.

This movie feels like diving into pure gaming without distractions from real life. Seeing Mario jump around in those familiar scenes takes me back to my Switch gaming days. I really miss those times. It's been ages since a movie gave me such simple joy.

It's one of the top-tier video game adaptations, loaded with elements from the entire series and packed with thrilling action scenes. Whether you're a fan or just a regular moviegoer, it's a satisfying watch. While its plot may not be as complex and deep as the game, it has truly become an enjoyable blockbuster, thanks to its straightforward and easy-to-follow style, which brings back the pure joy of playing old games. Looking forward to the sequel.
