This film tries to tell a story from the perspective of kids. It's amazing how it blurs the line between make-believe and real life. The sound effects from "Dragon Ball" and "The Legend of Zelda" are pleasant surprises. But it could have gone even wilder and crazier to show how innocent and creative kids really are.

This movie is an "anti-genre" flick telling a straightforward tale about joy, maturing, and friendship from a kid's perspective. The kids' dreams are pretty basic, like wishing for an egg to unlock a new level in their video game. But this story really gets adults thinking. With its cool visuals and filters, the movie transports us to a dreamy childhood world where anything and everything seems possible.

It brings out tears and happiness. Reminds me of all the sweet memories of roadtrips and the disaster, magic and survival every roadtrip entails, and the mishmash of genres is only what it appears to be. The core of this movie actually demonstrates the very drive of the genre itself: the drive toward joy in the midst of fanciful but meaningful dreams. For a child, not wasting a holiday means trying to have an adventure, and surviving a disaster means the end of a good time. Razooli’s virtue lies in knowing that happiness is not about changing the world, but how we look at it.

A stunning film debut. Wes Anderson meets Sean Baker? Kids fooling around in a serious manner just to bake a blueberry pie for mom. It's the adventure of ultimate absurdity, an extreme kind of childish romance.

SUPER CUTE! If you want to have a fun two hours, watch it. An innocent children's adventure story with a tight plot, fairytale-like art and great acting. The director's audio-visual techniques are chosen just right, very clear and well done for a debut movie. Each of the children's characters are well written and well chosen, it is also well directed. Is it childish? Not necessarily.

It's not really possible to guess the general direction of the plot, but children will always be unpredictable creatures. To turn the whole world upside down for a blueberry pie - or to be more precise, an egg - is really something only someone of that age can do. The director really is a child at heart!

A movie that lacks challenge. The colorful ethereality of the opening scene is gradually stifled by the raw drama and bland events, and the viewing experience plummets within half an hour. You see the preset childlike innocence, but the world of childlike innocence should contain human complexity and interpersonal confrontation as well. It's an empty Wes Anderson-esque sense of mise-en-scène, but it doesn't possess the sweet danger and gentle coldness of his earlier works.

A childhood game that's overly hollow. Generally, the fun is striking at the beginning, but it seems a bit empty and "childish" as it's generally disconnected from the adult world. After all, innocence, as a lost quality, is closely linked to growing up and education as a one-way loss. The "preciousness" of childhood is always for adults, and childhood is not purely about innocence, it is simply a small bit to be guarded within all the chaos.

When all the road movies, western movies, and gangster movies are switched to a different perspective, it's an amazing experience. After countless contrived and uncontrived coincidences collide, you know it's gonna be a happy ending. The children see countless inspiration, and even if you can guess what's coming next, you can't hide your excitement and desire to move along. From the moment the whole group ran onto the stage, you are already a part of this crazy adventure. My top 10 of the year!

It's so touching that I can't help but cry with joy. An innocent and pure movie. The power of children is evident; their motivation and things they search for is big as they are, and it's worth all the effort in exchange. And their comical adult look is a result of the creator's complete belief that each of us - the audience - can become those children in place, cherishing those simple and sincere feelings, fighting against the world around us.

It's the kind of movie that make you can laugh out loud without burden at any time, and it's perfect for an evening after a tiring day at work. I lament the fact that there are fewer and fewer movies that are this simple and funny. A big part of the movie's laughs stem from the contrast between the kids' behavior, language and their age, which is kind of cool and goofy. The youngest of the boys can't enunciate well and was the only one to have vintage subtitles, making it really funny for me.

Me trouxe lágrimas e sorrisos.
