KIM_HARRISSeptember 2, 2024This movie is like the pinnacle of modern musicals – a true classic that's tough to top. The second half is especially awesome, with all those mind-bending colors that just draw you in. The sexy dance sequence in the middle is brilliant, really elevating the film to a whole new level. Bob Fosse reinvented the look of the movie, using camera to capture the human body in rhythm, breaking all the rules and diving deep into the characters' heads. It gives us a glimpse into what they were really thinking and feeling.

dealmeidasilvaSeptember 2, 2024This movie is mostly about singing and dancing and people being scared of dying, but how they show that fear feels fake and boring. It doesn't really go deep into the crazy stuff that happens in the entertainment industry. The cinematography is okay, with many smash cuts that can be a little confusing but do help tell the story. But when you compare it to other musicals like "Chicago," this one just doesn't measure up in terms of music, quality, and depth.

Chandler_CapricornusJanuary 30, 2024Elevating a musical film to this level is essentially reaching the peak, unmatched by any others in the same genre. Plus, it's the kind of viewing experience that I likely won't come across again in my lifetime. The interplay and overlap of the four dimensions—stage, film, reality, and the afterlife—initially left me puzzled. But the more I watched, the more I realized just how incredible it is. The male lead is captivating while at the same time exudes an air of decay and death. Moreover, several choreographed sequences are really mind-blowing, and they are laced with plenty of humor as well.

Ana6844January 30, 2024After watching “Cabaret," I thought I'd never seen a musical film quite like it, and I felt the same way again after watching this film. Bob Fosse truly is the king of choreography. It's rare to find a musical film these days that can integrate body language into storytelling as seamlessly as this one does. It's as if every performance and every edit in the film showcases a deep passion for life.
