The clothes, makeup, and props are amazing, the cinematography is beautiful, and the sets look so fancy. The story moves along slowly but in an interesting way that keeps you hooked the whole time. It's about a big family, but it's about each person growing up and dealing with stuff. Some parts might feel heavy, but the ending is really satisfying. All in all, this movie is a masterpiece that really hits you hard!

This movie is seriously cool because it blends real-life stuff with magic and some spiritual elements, and it's got a mix of stage-play and stream-of-consciousness styles. Ingmar Bergman usually dives deep into heavy topics like childhood, death, religion, and family dynamics in his films, and he always delivers an ideal ending. In this philosophy-heavy film, some parts are intricate but drag on a bit too long, making me lose interest. All in all, I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10.
