K AugustMay 8, 2026A critically-lauded but still underrated look at the mentality of the high school kids of the early 80s. I remember the mystery that hung around this film when it was released. I was in grade school, about to experience some of the incidents in this film - sans the classroom order of pizza, body parts, wrecked car (well...), and Phoebe Cates (a kid can dream) - and it really did set me up for what teenagerdom could be. Sean Penn, Judge Reinhold, Forest Whitaker, Jennifer Jason Leigh round this one off...and you should really check this out.
Like totally, bro. It's awesome!
