A silly film, but also my introduction to the talents of Anthony Michael Hall, John Hughes (yes, he did direct it), Kelly LeBrock (sigh) and the great and much-missed Bill Paxton. Two boys so desperate for female attention that they use their computer to build a woman realize that they still have no control over their desires and female nature. As a twelve-year-old who watched this at a friend's house in the early eighties, this was the film that we would watch and laugh at again and again as we considered what technology could do (all pre-Internet, folks).
No, it is not a masterpiece, but it is a good time for less than two hours of your time.
Don't be a wanker. Enjoy it!
