How did this movie make me shit please!!!!! There's nothing bigger than cinema

This is a great film. Those who love you don't want you to make them the center of your world; they want you to go out and experience the world. Hit by a profound, inexplicable emotion while watching this film, I couldn't stop crying in the dark theater.

Some films move me deeply. Watching Cinema Paradiso on the big screen for the first time, I was overwhelmed by the interplay of love between the characters on screen and its effect on the audience. This amplification of emotions left me uncontrollably in tears.

I watched the director's cut version, which runs close to three hours. It's a typical indie film focusing on visual compositions, well-developed characters, and a compelling storyline that fully immerses me. The music is also quite impressive. The movie beautifully portrays the intricate emotions between different generations, depicting a love that can never be fully obtained yet cannot be let go of, alongside the enduring sense of family. I especially appreciated the homage to black-and-white films, even though I didn't love nor hate the entire movie. But that tender ending montage of the kissing scenes truly stirred my emotions.

Although the colors in this movie aren't overly vibrant, and the storytelling style is more subdued, it's truly a timeless film that makes a lasting impact with its rich plot and emotions. Classic films like this can't be watched casually; they require a touch of nostalgia and a calm state of mind. Today, I rewatched this movie again, and the scene where Toto sits in the theater watching the cut scenes made me tear up. Alfredo really understood him.

This film is absolutely amazing. It captures the essence of friendship between different generations, youth, love, and sincerity. When the movie theater collapsed, Alfredo's words came rushing back to me: "Living here day by day, you think it's the center of the world. You believe nothing will ever change. Then you leave: a year, two years. When you come back, everything's changed." The film portrayed a belief in and yearning for the future. And that montage of the kissing scenes at the end was absolutely incredible!

Where to begin? Just watch it now!

I've watched this in different stages of my life and in my humble opinion, any self-respecting film buff should see it at least once. It's like, somehow before there was Holden Caulfield, there was Toto di Vita. Not only is the experience magical, but it's majestic, it's an homage to the power and meaning of cinema, youth, nostalgia, and growing up.
