Brain Damage (1988)★ 6.4/10

The atmosphere of dread is compelling, though Aylmer’s design suffers from weak effects and unconvincing performances. Still, the attention to detail, clever touches, and effective use of music and pacing give the film a surprising vitality, making it a cult gem within the B-horror tradition.

So hard to watch. This film just reminds me of how many badly made films are out there in the world. Every single scene is deliberately stretched 3 times longer merely by self-repetitions and I couldn't see any reasons for it other than to force the whole film into a feature-length. Bad script, bad acting, bad everything.
