However, the background information about the main character and his friends isn't detailed enough, and the character development isn't fully fleshed out or profound. This movie has a great reputation, but I'm sorry it didn't strike me as particularly special.

Has the undeniable sensitive touch Gus Van Sant gives to everything he does when he wants to, combined with the nowadays-trope of a character/storyline of Matt Damon's (which at the time, of course, wasn't so), and great performances by an obviously hand-picked cast who simply deliver, period. It's a raw and simple movie which stongly defines and then relies on its strenghts, and thus definitely a worthy watch.

Es muy cautivador, hasta el extremo de los extremos. ¡Hay escenas que he visto más de 10 veces! Escenas para memorizar, aprender, reflexionar, diseccionar. No hay nada mejor que ver una película y saber que aprendiste algo, y si la vuelves a ver, ¡aprenderás más! Más sobre ti, sobre la vida. Una película que debería conservarse para que la humanidad nunca la olvide. ¡No! Esto no es una exageración. Es el séptimo arte.

No importa cuando la vea siempre me deja la piel de gallina, Robin Williams es lo mas cercano a una estrella fugaz, lo tuvimos un tiempo breve, menos del que deberíamos haber tenido, pero mientras ll tuvimos fue majestuoso. Ver su actuación (y la de Matt Damon no se queda nada atrás) fue algo que me conmovió mas de lo que creí que podría.
El discurso sobre lo que es una verdadera perdida, y como Will nunca va a saber lo que es eso hasta que ame a algo mas de lo que se ama a si mismo (Esto siendo complejo para el ya que el no siente que se ame) Es simplemente de otro mundo. Un guion magnifico, para un elenco de su misma magnitud de grandeza, por películas así es que agradezco que el cine exista. Magia.
