This film was one of the scariest of 2001, due to its special effects, and it's a suspenseful movie that's still remembered today.

Nicole Kidman's performance and the clever, well-crafted plot captivated everyone who watched it.

Rather than directly condemning the Nazis, I prefer this film’s approach. It better conveys the sins of war. People enjoy ghost stories for the themes of undying persistence and longing. We hope there are ghosts and an afterlife because the living don't want to forget; we want our remembrance and emotions to be worth something.

The film feels somewhat anti-genre. The director uses traditional techniques to build up the story, misleading the audience until the final twist. The idea of humans scaring ghosts is amusing. It makes sense why ghosts in horror films cling to old houses—the new inhabitants are the ones intruding upon these earthbound spirits.

One of the most powerful sensations that remain in your body after watching "The Others" is that of its atmosphere, gloomy and tense. Some scenes are so unsettling and so accomplished from the technical point of view that it is impossible not to remember them over time. It is pure suspense. Nicole Kidman has a fantastic role.

One of the best ghost movies

With an unexpected story, "The Others" is one of the best ghost stories I’ve ever watched. Nicole Kidman’s honest performance allows us to have a first-hand experience and see all the emotions her character is feeling.

A really unexpected horror

Detailed and with narrative sophistication, “The Others” is a one-of-a-kind horror film. A revolutionary proposal within horror cinema.
