TTimeless Tales BWApril 28, 2025
It’s tightly paced and definitely entertaining, but the killer is just so boring and pretentious. By the end, I honestly wanted to take him out myself.

Intense, thrilling, and full of conflict —all these elements get tangled up in a small telephone booth. Stories that unfold in a single scene are often the most thrilling ones because, without scene changes, the only way to keep people engaged is through a well-told story. And this film absolutely nails that.

The film’s tension is contained entirely within the confines of a phone booth, but it manages to avoid feeling claustrophobic. The pacing is tight, although the ending is a letdown. The music, in particular, feels odd, and the overuse of exaggerated camera work is unnecessary.

With the entire film set in a phone booth, the dialogue and lead actor's performance are crucial. Colin Farrell is outstanding, and the sniper, who remains unseen for most of the film, manages to create a chilling presence with just his voice. The plot has some logical flaws, but the technical execution is quite innovative.
