The Italian Job (2003)★ 7.0/10

Even decades later, the heist mechanics still feel fresh. The standoff dynamic adds plenty of tension, offering a minor innovation within the genre. Unfortunately, the film doesn't dig deeper into the mind games between characters, and the villain remains one-dimensional, which slightly undercuts the film’s overall impact.

A solid crime-action film worth watching. Like many entertaining heist movies, this one is built around a revenge plot. The storyline may be familiar, but the tight pacing and sharp editing make "The Italian Job" a thoroughly enjoyable ride.

It's so mediocre, with a cheesy plot, even with a lot of stars on board. The characters Norton plays is stupid and annoying.

It's a successful entertainment film with many entertaining elements: a great cast, great action design plus a little romance, and so on. Although the plot is thus stereotypical and formulaic, perhaps the fairest assessment of a typical summer blockbuster is that, even if you'll soon forget it, it's still a great movie for the general public.

You're looking for the mind and soul from this movie, then you should wash up early and go to bed. But if you're looking for buttoned up plots, exciting scenes, great soundtracks, and the thrill of revenge, then watch it, it's definitely for you.

The charismatic cast of the movie makes it one of the funniest interpretations of the typical hustle story, plus it is a much better version of the 1969 film of the same title.
