The story really pulls you in. The main character is a sleek, stylish race car with dreams of hitting it big in the racing world, but he ends up getting lost. This setup immediately grabs your attention and adds a great deal of drama and fun to the narrative. The car's experiences in the town are full of surprises and heartwarming moments, making you feel the joy of life amid laughter.

I've seen this movie before, and watching it again now, I'm kind of disappointed. The theme is alright when it's not just about winning or losing. The ending, where they throw in the towel, is a tough pill to swallow. The set-up for the mountain drift scene was done well, and the part where the main character finds himself is heartwarming. Still, it's missing that real punch, despite its attempt to cover many emotional topics.

Cars marks Pixar's first major use of ray tracing technology in animation, which enhances the realism of both the car characters and their environments. As one of Pixar's most humanizing film, it resonates with audiences due to its relatable storyline, reflecting a genuine experience from Lasseter's own life.

A common storyline featuring a self-centered young guy who is solely focused on his own ambitions and lacks empathy for others. It's not until he stumbles into an unknown small town, where he learns about love and the joys of life, and matures as a result. The animation style and plot are fairly standard, but it still manages to be heartwarming. That's the magic of animation - it never feels dull even for a 2h film.

The beginning of a legacy

For many people, in the first movie, Vin Diesel made it clear that his business was action. As the beginning of one of the most profitable franchises in film history, this movie retains an authenticity that is no longer found in the most recent issues.

An important lesson about ego

What would happen if the world was controlled by vehicles? Well, speed would be the key point, of course. "Cars" is a movie that deals with ego and legacy in a funny and original way.
