The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)★ 7.8/10

After a long and tedious first half, it is a series of good shows. 48 frames per second is nothing new, but the ubiquitous and natural special effects are really admirable! Can't wait for an increasingly intense and exciting sequel!

Only one I've watched through to the end in this new undertaking of theirs, but I really liked it. I thought it was a really creative adaptation, not too gimmicky, well-cast, and all-around a cool adventure watch.

I’m a fan of Tolkien, and I was eager to watch new movies adapting his stories, such as The Hobbit. However, I don’t think it was necessary to make three movies adapting this story, that is really short. Despite that, I love Freeman’s Bilbo, he makes us love the character even more.

Andy Serkis comes to Tolkien’s cinematic universe one last time with “The Hobbit”, a movie that perfected the visual effects and Gollum’s realistic appearance.

To embark on an adventure you only need the power of your will. Join Bilbo on a journey through Middle Earth in the first Hobbit movie of the great trilogy directed by Peter Jackson.
