Rodolfo Jose Quilantan TapiaFebruary 12, 2026I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole movie. I couldn't stop making theories and assumptions about the characters and their motives as I watched it. The performances are top-notch, superbly written, directed etc. This movie hands down, should have had more nominations.

Bruce_HobbsApril 20, 2024A fascinating mainstream suspense thriller. Villeneuve's visual storytelling isn't tacky, with great camera positioning and lighting, particularly in scenes with rain and snow and the rushing to the emergency room.

Alvin_WiseApril 20, 2024Another exemplary crime drama that nearly perfects every aspect—namely pacing, scoring, vibes, and especially cinematography. It has the nuances of a David Fincher film but is more restrained, with an almost tangible tension beneath the calm surface, making it the best-quality film I've seen this year.

Damon_McintoshApril 20, 2024Although it didn't become a masterpiece like "Zodiac" or "Memories of Murder" because it was trying to cater to the mainstream market, it is still a captivating and darkly oppressive American crime thriller. Denis Villeneuve's directing is extraordinary, creating a smooth and exhilarating experience, and Roger Deakins' cinematography needs no further comment—it's simply perfect.

Curtis_HuberApril 20, 2024The director's mastery of narrative pacing is as good as it gets for a suspense genre; the cinematography is brilliantly executed, especially for the settings in rain, snow, and nighttime . Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal deliver outstanding performances. The film’s tone is dark and the atmosphere and emotions are incredibly oppressive. Awesome!
