The Woman in Black (2012)★ 5.9/10

Lots of production value for not a lot of content, the plot weirdly reminded me of Stoker's Dracula, what with the protagonist traveling alone to the old crumbling manor, except he didn't have that other mysterious counterpart to play off of, so the frights and scary parts promised just became blah and I actually fell asleep the first time I watched it before I even got to see what this Woman looked like. I did make it in time, though, to think "damn, I didn't realize Radcliffe was so short?" Kudos to him for being one of the few actors who managed to separate from his "stardom" role.
