Ruben Östlund sets up fixed camera angles all over to provide the audience with a more unbiased perspective. He pokes fun at people and reveals their compulsive and hypocritical actions. In his work, innocent folks and the virtuous side frequently get tangled up in the misdeeds of others, putting kind-hearted individuals in a tough spot since those who make mistakes are swift to pass judgment on others without owning up to their mistakes. Ruben Östlund really gets a kick out of critiquing and satirizing, and this piece delivers a stronger punch with a more direct viewpoint compared to his film "The Square."

"Force Majeure" is fantastic. It might seem simple, but it really packs a punch. It's like a "relationship horror movie" that explores the dynamics between men and women and within marriages, prompting even deeper thoughts than "Gone Girl." The director exercised great restraint by using plenty of medium and long shots, sticking to fixed camera angles. Through this cinematography, the film calmly and clearly portrays the psychological shifts of a married couple as the story unfolds layer by layer until everything falls into place. The ending is cleverly executed without the overpowering classical music. Perhaps it's even better without any music in this case.

This movie has a cold Nordic vibe and tackles a topic like a puzzle, getting everyone thinking. It's mind-boggling to see the gender differences in relationships portrayed in the film. The script is top-notch, with a fantastic theme. The director keeps weaving in Vivaldi's Concerto No. 2 in G Minor, "Summer" from "The Four Seasons" to set the mood. Classical music always works wonders when telling stories about the middle class.
