"Hacksaw Ridge" is the most terrifying war movie I've ever seen; the first headshot at the onset of battle left me stunned, unable to think, only feeling a visceral urge to cry until the end. It was such an immersive experience I actually felt that I was there on the battlefield..

The persistence of faith and individual heroism in "Hacksaw Ridge" reveal a newfound appreciation for Mel Gibson's straightforward directorial style, where every scene serves a goal and transitions swiftly to the next once achieved. Despite my lack of religious belief, Desmond Doss's story feels miraculous, with his resilience, positivity, and kindness forging this miracle. Although it's a war film, the love story was unexpectedly moving, particularly the embrace outside the courtroom, which brought tears to my eyes.

The film's well-structured plot, grand scenes, and abundant emotion are more than enough to rekindle the long-lost feelings of excitement and passion, especially the kind of emotional resonance that only war-themed movies can deliver..

From the few movies I've watched, outstanding war films do not glorify the battlefield, sugarcoat death, belittle the enemy, ignore common sense, and most importantly, do not promote war. "Hacksaw Ridge" adheres to these principles.

There was a very impressive scene.

- On the first night of the first battle, he sat in the trench with his comrade-in-arms. His comrade-in-arms opened a can and asked him why he didn't eat it. "I don't eat meat," Dawes said with a smile and a wave of his hand, his face black with war ashes. What an honorable man! His faith could not change the war, but the war could not do anything about his seemingly ordinary faith.

Not glorify the battlefield

A good war film does not glorify the battlefield, whitewash death, weaken the enemy, ignore common sense, and most importantly, does not promote war. This film does it all.

Brilliantly executed

The real life of the first conscientious objector who shows us that whoever refuses to take up a weapon can be much braver than whoever takes it, the shots in this war movie hurt as if they were given to us and its necessary message makes it a masterpiece

★★★★★ (Cinco estrellas bien merecidas)
